WordPress Theme Customization – MiMOSA

Fame House created a custom WordPress website for rising electronic artist MiMOSA. This website features an elaborate design that operates fluidly and does not sacrifice for functionality. The site is easy to navigate for fans, with important links and information found easily. The top of the page includes links to News, Releases, Tour, Contact Info, and MiMOSA’s online store.

Links to MiMOSA’s YouTube and SoundCloud are found below the page’s main featured image. Important fan capturing elements, like social media link icons and the email newsletter sign up widget (powered by Topspin), are located in this easy-to-find area as well.

MiMOSA’s latest news items are also displayed on the home page. Although there is a link to the news page at the top of the home page, the news section is also included on the home page in order to display important news in a more compelling way. High quality pictures and news headlines are displayed here so that fans are more likely to see the news items and click on items of interest. Including news items on the homepage can also lead to increased traffic to the news section of the site.

The bottom of the homepage highlights the artist’s most recent releases. Again, high quality pictures make this section more compelling for visitors, and fans can stream the release they select via an embeddable SoundCloud waveform player. Singles are available for free download via the SoundCloud player, while albums are available for purchase through iTunes.
