Fame House Participating In Pow Wow Hawaii’s School Of Music

Fame House’s Hisham Dahud is in Honolulu, Hawaii this week participating in the first ever “School of Music” program, part of the popular Pow Wow Hawaii art event.

Pow Wow Hawaii is a gathering of contemporary artists that engages with the broader community in the process and creation of art, and draws over 100 of the world’s most renowned visual artists painting in loft spaces and all over the streets of the Kaka’ako neighborhood in Hawaii.

New for 2013, the “School of Music” program is focused on providing learning opportunities in music for a select group of local musicians aged 13-18. Hisham will be conducting workshops and seminars with the youth of Hawaii to help them learn about music, specifically about drums and percussion (his speciality), as well as provide lectures and seminars about today’s music business – a valuable lesson for those young musicians who are a bit more serious about making a living from their art.
